Did you know that Brigad was built out of a passion for hospitality? Before Brigad, our founders saw first-hand the challenges of working in hospitality, but also experienced for themselves how passionate those in industry are.
But, due to Brexit, COVID-19 and more recent immigration and minimum wage laws, the hospitality industry has been having a hard go of it. Labour supply and demand within the industry remains precariously imbalanced with more than 112,000 vacancies in hotels, cafés, pubs, and restaurants across the UK at the end of 2023.
At a time when the industry is experiencing immense pressure and complex challenges, we want to do our best to support the millions of businesses and professionals who show up each day and serve us with their best.
These are not just words. In fact, Brigad is a mission-driven company who has defined six commitments in order to make work attractive and accessible for all. We review these goals and the KPIs that have been set annually, to make sure that we’re on track to achieving them.
